BESTOWAL OF BLESSINGS (Num. 6: 22-27)

Our God is not just the God of Blessing. He is blessing Himself. He is the source of all true blessings cf. Prov. 10:22. Whenever God chooses to bless a man, nothing can reverse it cf. Num. 22: 23:6-12; Neh. 13:1-2. God’s blessings are also enduring. May God bring you into His Blessings tonight, Amen.
A. Definitions
Bestow = “to give something to somebody, especially to show how much they are respected”
didomi = bring forth, give, grants cf. 2 Cor. 8:1; 1 Jn. 3:1
Blessing = “ God’s help and protection” or “Approval of or permission for something” or “ Something that is good or helpful”
berakah = Blessing, eulogia = “Good speech or utterance”

C. Bestowal of Blessings: How should it be done?
- Direct Impartation- Gen. 32:26-29
- Indirect Impartation

- Laying of hands- Acts 8:18; 1 Tim. 4:14; Deut. 34:9
D. Conditions for the Bestowal of Blessing
- Be born again- Jn. 3:3 i.e Have a relationship with God
- Be in good relationship with your parents, etc
- Be in good relationship with your pastor
- Be in good relationship with your community etc.
